Louisiana Department of Insurance to unveil proposed changes

Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon and Louisiana state legislators are hosting a press conference to provide information on the final outcomes of the package of bills the Louisiana Department of Insurance proposed to address the property insurance crisis during the 2023 Legislative Session.

Donelon will appear at the press conference with Senate Insurance Committee Chair Kirk Talbot and House Insurance Committee Chair Mike Huval.

The recap of information includes bills related to the Louisiana Fortified Homes Program, Insure Louisiana Incentive Program and more.

The press conference will take place June 14 at 10:30am CST at the Louisiana Department of Insurance, Plaza Hearing Room, 1702 N. Third Street, Baton Rouge.
