New captive director at University of California

Karen Hsi has announced that she is starting a new position as executive director - UC Captive Programs at University of California Office of the President.

She was previously the interim executive director – UC Captive Programmes, after being appointed in April 2022.

Prior to this Hsi was the program director of Fiat Lux Risk and Insurance Company, the University’s captive insurance company, in June 2016. Her role was to strategically plan and manage the captive programs as well as to formulate and architect new strategies to utilise the captive in more efficient risk financing arrangements.

Hsi started at the University of California as an intern in October 2009.
