R&Q legacy M&A group head to retire
Paul Corver, group head of legacy mergers and acquisitions (M&A) at R&Q, will be retiring later this year, at a date to be determined.
In an internal announcement R&Q said that Corver has played a central role in the development of R&Q’s legacy business since joining in 2008 and during his career has established himself as a leading practitioner in the market.
As a result of his planned retirement R&Q will have co-heads of its global legacy M&A team, Huw Battrick and Parri Spector, reporting directly to global legacy chief executive Andy Pinkes.
Spector will continue to work closely with Ben Masel and the Corporate Development organisation regarding Gibson Re and other strategic legacy initiatives. Battrick will have leadership responsibilities for the UK and Europe team, and Spector for the North America, Bermuda and Caribbean team.
Chris Riseborough will also report directly to Pinkes regarding strategic business development activities, the management of certain regulated companies in the UK, and will work closely with Spector and Battrick on M&A deal activity.
Corver will continue to report to Pinkes to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities. Pinkes said that he is personally grateful to Paul for his partnership and support and look forward to working with him and the team as R&Q transitions to its new operating model.
