Zurich head of captives steps down

Steve Bauman, the senior vice president and head of captives services at Zurich Insurance Group, has stepped down from his role and left the company. Zurich did not comment on the reason behind his departure.

Bauman has over 25 years of experience in corporate insurance and captive insurance company services, having previously served as a senior vice president of Aon's captive services group.

Prior to this, he served as vice president, New York officer manager and East Coast marketing manager for XL Insurance Company.

He has also worked at Marsh, where he was senior vice president in the global services group division.

Bauman is also a member of the board of director and the legislative and conference committees for the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA).
