Artex hires Bermuda head of office, appoints Kevin Poole to new role in Cayman

Artex Risk Solutions has hired Nicola Hallett as director and head of office for its captives and commercial business in Bermuda.

Hallett has over 16 years’ experience in the industry and is an executive committee member and treasurer of the Bermuda Insurance Management Association. She joins the firm from Marsh McLennan in Bermuda, where she was senior vice president, client executive and team leader.

Before moving into captives, she started her career in the UK with Rothmans Chartered Accountants as a senior audit and accounts manager.

In the Cayman Islands, Artex's Kevin Poole has been appointed director of business development. Poole has been with Artex since it purchased Kane (Cayman) Limited, where he was client services director in 2016.

In a 30-year career, he has also held positions with HSBC Bank, the Caymans Island Monetary Authority, Marsh Management Services in Guernsey and Johns & Higgins in Bermuda.
