Asurion taps Kelly for top underwriting role

Technology insurer Asurion has hired a top executive from Aon for a senior underwriting position.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Aidan Kelly joined Asurion this month as senior director of underwriting in the company’s Atlanta office.

He joins from Aon, where he was director of risk finance and captive consulting for more than four years.

Prior to his role at Aon, Kelly worked for Willis Towers Watson for more than 14 years, including spells as chief operations and compliance officer for the group’s global captive insurance practice.

Asurion has been contacted for comment.

Aon recently reshuffled its senior leadership after the collapse of its proposed merger with Willis Towers Watson.
