AXA XL hires chief data and analytics officer from AXA Hong Kong

Ashok Krishnan has been named as chief data and analytics officer at AXA XL in London.

Krishnan joins from AXA Hong Kong where he was chief data officer and customer experience director, where he was responsible for analytics, AI and data science for the life, health and P&C insurance businesses. He also oversaw customer experience, insights, customer relationship management marketing and data management and governance functions.

Before joining AXA in 2013 he held positions at Prudential and Xchanging, focusing on strategy, distribution, operations and transformation and finance functions.

In his new role Krishnan reports to Matthieu Caillat, chief operating officer at AXA XL.

Caillat said Krishnan’s “extensive expertise and background in analytics and data science, combined with his knowledge of the P&C insurance market, will further strengthen AXA XL’s innovation and technology-led approach as we accelerate our data strategy.”
