Breckpoint promotes captive manager to chief revenue officer

Las Vegas-based Breckpoint has promoted Derek Atkinson (pictured) to the role of chief revenue officer. 

Atkinson, who has been vice president of captive operations since 2021, joined Breckpoint in 2018, having previously worked as an investment advisor. 

Breckpoint helps brokers and employers build alternative risk solutions outside of the traditional insurance providers through captives, self-funded benefit administration plans and risk management services. 

Atkinson has overseen Breckpoint Insurance Company which is a protected cell captive insurance company domiciled in the state of Tennessee, offering self-funded opportunities to all sizes of employers.
