Byrne and Ghyoot leave Aon Cayman

Howard Byrne and Ghislain Ghyoot have both left Aon Cayman to take up new roles as principals at HP Cayman Services.

Byrne has spent nearly 25 years with Aon Cayman, including the last four years as managing director of the unit.

Ghyoot had spent the last 14 years at Aon Cayman, which included the last five years as director of captive and insurance management.

Speaking about their moves to HP Cayman Services on LinkedIn, Ghyoot said he was excited to move to the HP Reinsurance group of companies, where they “will be building out and strengthening their Cayman infrastructure.”

Speaking about his time at Aon, Ghyoot added: “I am immensely proud of how much I have grown professionally and deeply grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and trust that shaped such a rewarding career.

“More than anything, I am thankful for the outstanding colleagues and clients who became close friends along the way. You made the challenges enjoyable, the successes meaningful, and created a truly exceptional environment to work in. I am closing this chapter with a full heart and a skip in my step.”

Byrne in his own LinkedIn post said he was grateful “to the many Aon Cayman and wider Aon group colleagues, clients, provider partners and friends whom I’ve had the privilege of working with over the past 24+ years.”

“Thank you for the camaraderie, collaboration, support, and friendship that made the journey so rewarding and successful. Together, we navigated challenges, celebrated achievements, and built relationships that I will always value. The lessons I’ve learned and the connections I’ve made will stay with me throughout this next stage of my career,” he said.
