Captive Review crowns 2025 US award winners

Captive Review has announced the winners of its 2025 US Awards at its annual event at Burlington, Vermont, on the official first day of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association’s 2025 conference.

In the general section of the awards, the Captive Domicile of the Year (more than $5bn gross written premium) award was won by Vermont, whilst the Captive Domicile of the Year (less than $5bn gross written premium) award was won by Connecticut.

Actuarial Firm of the Year was won by Milliman, whilst Audit & Accountancy Services of the Year was won by RH CPAs.

The new category of Best Group Captive Manager of the Year was captured by AXA XL, whilst Captive Broking Services of the Year was awarded to Guy Carpenter. Captive Consultant of the Year was Spring Consulting Group.

Captive Launch of the Year, another new category in 2025, was won by Los Angeles Unified School District Insurance Company.

Captive Manager of the year (less than $1 billion of gross written premium) was won by Hylant whilst the award for Captive Manager of the Year (more than $1 billion gross written premium) went to Brown & Brown.

Looking at the 2025 Individual Categories winners, Captive Risk Manager of the Year was won by Melissa Hollingsworth of Los Angeles Unified School District Insurance Company and Captive Service Professional of the Year was awarded to Matt Takamine of Brown & Brown. The award for Emerging Talent of the Year was won by Anne Ritts at PNC Institutional Asset Management.
