Captive Review launches new European market survey
Captive Review, in collaboration with Captive International, has launched a joint market survey to assess the state of the European captive insurance industry, ahead of the European Captive Forum 2025.
The survey, which is now open, invites captive owners, managers, regulators, and service providers from across Europe to share their insights into the trends, challenges, and strategic developments shaping the sector.
Responses will feed into a major editorial feature and be used to inform discussions at this year’s European Captive Forum, taking place on 5–6 November 2025 at the European Convention Centre in Luxembourg.
Key areas of focus in the survey include:
• Regulatory change and its anticipated impact on European captives
• The growing role of innovation and digital solutions in captive operations
• ESG integration, parametric solutions, and emerging risk coverage
• Talent, education, and the role of group and cell captive structures
• Domicile performance, growth prospects, and strategic priorities for 2025
The results will offer an independent snapshot of sentiment across the European captive landscape, as well as highlight the direction of travel for the industry in the years ahead.
“This is a chance to take the pulse of the market directly from those leading its evolution,” said Mark Richardson, Editor of Captive Review.
“We want to understand how European captive professionals are responding to emerging risks, shifting regulation, and new demands on their structures—and we’ll use these insights to drive editorial coverage and live debate at ECF 2025.”
Marc Jones, Editor of Captive International, added: “We know there’s no shortage of opinions in the captive market—but few opportunities to gather them in a meaningful way. This survey is our chance to capture that insight, identify areas of consensus and challenge, and share those findings back with the industry in a way that’s genuinely useful.”
The survey is open to all stakeholders and takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous unless participants choose to provide contact details to receive a copy of the final report.
