Corbett appointed MD at Pinnacle

Michael Corbett has announced that he’s starting a new position as managing director, SVP at Pinnacle Financial Partners.

He also said in an announcement on LinkedIn that in addition, Pinnacle's captive insurance effort will be a separate business unit exclusively dedicated to the banking/trust needs of captives and reinsurance companies.

“Along with David Shamblin, Tom Blanchard and others, we're taking insurance banking to the next level,” he said in a statement on LinkedIn. “Initial conference attendance includes: World Captive Forum (WCF), Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA), and the Bermuda Captive Conference (BCC).”

Corbett has been president of Apex Captive Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Pinnacle, since December 2023, based in Nashville, Tennessee. He joined the company as senior vice president in March 2020.

He is a past president of the Tennessee Captive Insurance Association, which he was appointed to in January 2024.
