EY loses co-leaders of global captive network

EY’s Mikhail Raybshteyn and Paul H. Phillips, co-leaders of the EY global captive insurance network, have both independently resigned from the company.

The exact reasons for their separate departures were not stated.

According to a joint statement released by the two via email the pair have reached an agreement with EY management that their last normal working day at the company will be 12th December 2025, after which they will be placed on gardening leave. They will then officially depart from the company on 31st March, 2026.

The statement added that the expectation is that Andrew Christie will take over the captive insurance practise at EY and will be supported by the existing members of the leadership team including Jim Bulkowski and Brad Schock s and other EY partners/managing directors and teams in the insurance consulting and/or insurance tax practises.

The statement continued to say that they are both personally very supportive and enthusiastic for the team's continued success. They did not state what their future plans are.
