Habart set to join Davies Captive Management

Jonathan Habart, director of captive insurance at the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance (TDCI) will be leaving the State of Tennessee at the end of the year, and joining Davies Captive Management in January, Captive International understands.

Habart previously served as the Captive Insurance Section’s assistant director and then acting director. He was promoted to the director role after an extensive national search to fill this high-profile leadership role.

A TDCI team member since 2016, he first distinguished himself for his work in the division as a staff examiner and captive insurance specialist.

Prior to joining TDCI, he began his career in Tennessee state government as an accountant with the Tennessee Department of Finance & Administration where he earned his CPA designation.
