Honeywell appoints director of risk management

Honeywell, the US aerospace and technology conglomerate, has appointed a new director of risk management.

Nancy Medwid started in the business in September. She was previously a senior manager, risk management and insurance, at The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey where she was heavily involved in the annual insurance renewal process for both property and casualty coverage, including the management of a captive and daily interaction with brokers.

Before that, she was director, risk management and insurance, at NJ Transit. She has also served as assistance vice president at AIG where she developed and implemented strategies and goals for litigation, including best practices for cost share agreements and settlement negotiations.
