ICCIE unveils first spring courses

The International Centre for Captive insurance Education has revealed its first group of spring 2025 courses. 

These include Understanding Risk and Risk Retention Mechanisms, An introduction of Alternative Risk Financing Mechanisms, Business Ethics in the Captive Insurance Industry, Accounting for Captives: Reporting and Analysis, Forming and Operating a Captive, Healthcare Captives overview and Captives Claims Management Best Practices and Reinsurance. 

The first course begins on January 7 with a registration deadline of December 31 for Understanding Risk and Risk Retention Mechanisms which is taught by Jonathan Habart, Elizabeth Steinman and Bruce Whitmore. The course runs until February 4. 

An Introduction to Alternative Risk Financing Mechanisms is taught by Kevin Doherty and Ed Koral and runs from January 8 to January 29 with a registration deadline of January 2. 

All registration deadlines can close early if full. Classes run from three to six weeks. 

The dates and registration deadlines for other courses are as follows: 

Business Ethics in the Captive Insurance industry runs from February 11-25 and had a registration deadline of February 4. 

Accounting for Captives: Reporting and Analysis: February 13-27, registration deadline February 6. 

Forming and Operating a Captive: March 18-April 22, registration deadline March 11.  

Healthcare Captives Overview: March 20-April 10, registration deadline March 13.  

Captives Claims Management Best Practices and Reinsurance: May 15-June 29, registration deadline May 8.
