IMAC teases 2025 CCF agenda highlights

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) has announced the agenda for the Cayman Captive Forum 2025. Registration remains open, offering attendees access to what IMAC described as world-class expertise and exceptional networking opportunities at the largest captive insurance event in the world.

“We are proud to present another powerful agenda that reflects the evolution of the global captive insurance industry,” said Michael Wild (pictured), chair of the Cayman Captive Forum Committee. “Our sessions bring together an extraordinary mix of perspectives - from regulators, industry leaders and innovators - designed to help captive owners and service providers navigate change and capture new opportunities.”

The three-day Cayman Captive Forum agenda includes keynote addresses, technical sessions, and interactive panels. Highlights include:

• Chairperson’s Opening Remarks by Kieran Mehigan.

• Welcome by the Hon. André Ebanks, Cayman Islands Premier and Minister for Financial Services & Commerce.

• Opening keynote by Rashmi Airan, a globally recognised speaker and transformation expert whose powerful story of adversity and resilience has inspired audiences around the world.

• Insurance Market Update, presented by Jim Williamson (Everest).

• Director Responsibilities - A 360 Review, featuring Hon. Justice Jalil Asif KC (Judge of the Grand Court), Melissa Thomas (Aurum Governance) and Lesley Thompson (WTW).

• A Powerful Combination: Mergers & Acquisitions in HealthCare, presented by Charlene Tilbanie (GCM), Grant Teegarden (Baylor Scott & White Health) and Julie Robertson (Honigman).

• Smart Risk: AI Transformations in Captive Insurance exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping risk management, operational efficiency, and decision-making across the captive insurance landscape.

• Cayman Captive Forum Chairperson’s Remarks by Michael Wild.

• Update from Cayman Finance by Steve McIntosh.

• Regulatory Update from CIMA by Kara Ebanks.

• Second keynote “Performing under Pressure” by Chris Lemons, a deep-sea saturation diver whose miraculous survival was chronicled in the acclaimed Netflix/BBC documentary “Last Breath”, and also adapted into a major motion picture released in early 2025.

• Workplace Safety - The Risks & An Innovative Captive Funded Solution, presented by Dr. Jason Gilbert and Cathy Treen from IUH Assurance, and Brian Hunley from Aon.
