IMAC unveils new chair

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) has elected Global Captive Management’s (GCM) James Trundle (pictured) as its new chair.

News of Trundle’s appointment, and the rest of the newly elected 2026 Executive Committee, was made during IMAC’s Annual General Meeting held on 11 December 2025. The committee comprises of a mix of new and returning members who will lead the organisation’s strategic priorities in the year ahead.

Trundle succeeds Marsh’s Kieran Mehigan in the chair role and will be supported by the following officers in their newly appointed roles:

  • Michael Wild, Artex – vice chair
  • Adam Vanicek, Marsh – treasurer
  • Joy Domingo, WTW – assistant secretary

IMAC also announced the formation of a new talent development committee, reflecting the association’s continued focus on workforce development and succession planning within the industry. Troy Matarazzo, vice president, Beecher Carlson will serve as chair of this new committee.

The following executive committee members will continue in their roles:

  • Gareth van den Bergh, Artex – marketing committee chair
  • Michael Wild, Artex – forum committee chair
  • Jessica Powell, Aon – scholarship committee chair
  • Paul Macey, USA Risk – legislative & regulatory committee chair
  • Andrew MacKay, RMA – education and social committee chair
  • Erin Brosnihan, Kensington – secretary
  • Jenny Pooley, SRS – IMAC office

Trundle said: “It is a privilege to serve as chair of IMAC at a time of continued momentum for Cayman’s insurance industry. Building on the strong foundation laid by the previous executive committee led by Kieran, we will remain focused on collaboration, talent development, and global engagement to support the long-term growth and success of our sector.
