Insurance Institute of Guernsey Outstanding Service award goes to Falcon PCC director
Falcon Insurance’s director Callum Beaton has won the Insurance Institute of Guernsey’s Award for Outstanding Service. Beaton is a director of the Falcon and holds directorships with other protected cell companies and captives, too. He is a past board member of the national body, the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), and sits on various CII committees, principally those centred on education in the insurance industry.
The award from the Insurance Institute of Guernsey adds to the CII President Award Beaton received in June. The lifetime achievement award recognised his contribution to the CII and professional conduct over four decades in the insurance industry.
Richard Battersby, the owner of Falcon Insurance PCC Limited, said: “I warmly congratulate Callum, as chairman of our board, on the award of these two thoroughly well-deserved honours. Falcon Insurance welcomes the practical expertise he brings to our decision-making, for the benefit of our company and our clients”.
In the past, Beaton has also received the CII’s two highest awards for writing: the Rutter Medal in 2008 for a dissertation on captive insurance and risk financing; and the Morgan Owen Medal in 2011 for his essay on corporate governance and captive insurance.
