Luxembourg is on track to register 15 new captive formations in 2025, Valerie Scheepers, head of the non-life and reinsurance department at the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA), has said.
Speaking to sister publication Captive Review at the European Captive Forum, Scheepers revealed there had been five captives formed in the country so far this year, with another 10 in the pipeline.
In 2024 Luxembourg approved the formation of seven new captives, as its total number increased from 195 to 197.
Scheepers said the rise mirrors a broader resurgence in captive activity across Europe.
