Magalaras unveiled as Connecticut Captive Insurance Forum speaker
Captive industry veteran Michael Magalaras has been announced as a speaker at the 2026 Connecticut Captive Insurance Forum on Monday, April 13th.
Magalaras’ presentation is one of seven featured discussions designed to provide value and actionable insights for captive owners, managers, and industry professionals.
The presentation will be entitled ‘Maintaining a good relationship with your regulator is key for success'. In this presentation Maglaras will discuss the key role this relationship plays, including:
• How to police fidelity to the original business plan
• Keeping the regulator up to date on business/financial changes in the captive's parent
• Preparing for a captive examination - "Proactivity is better than reactivity"
• How to involve the captive owner in a direct dialogue with the regulator
