New head of claims at Bridgehaven

Hybrid fronting insurer Bridgehaven Specialty UK has appointed Doug Humberstone (pictured) as its new head of claims.

Bridgehaven said that Humberstone has worked in senior claims roles for some of the largest businesses in the market, including Hiscox, Capita, the LMA and QBE. His most recent role was as delegated authority claims manager for Brit.

Bridgehaven’s claims team works closely with the insurer’s partner MGAs and their associated TPAs to deliver claims management and ensure fair outcomes for insureds. The function also provides thought leadership and expertise on emerging trends across the classes of business insured by Bridgehaven, as well as providing guidance and leadership on complex claims.
