New US captives head at Zurich North America

Adriana Scherzinger has been appointed US head of captives at Zurich North America.

Scherzinger has significant experience in the industry in Latin America and has been with Zurich since 2005. She previously headed up captive services for the region and worked as a captive fronting manager. Most recently, she was Latin American head of international program business in commercial insurance, based in Brazil.

She started at Zurich as a reinsurance specialist after working as an underwriter with Swiss Re.

Her appointment follows a  leadership shake-up in Zurich North America earlier this year, which saw Dawn Hiestand appointed executive vice president and head of captives for the business.
