Beazley names Bethany Greenwood as global head of cyber and executive risk

Specialist insurer Beazley has appointed Bethany Greenwood as global head of cyber and executive risk (CyEx).

Greenwood takes up her new position from July 2020. She will also join Beazley’s executive committee.

She replaced Mike Donovan who will retire from Beazley after 15 years with the company after Greenwood has settled into her new role, to ensure a smooth transition.

Greenwood joined Beazley in September 2019 to lead the London market and US-based executive risk team. She has worked across a number of management liability lines over a 20 year career, including D&O, errors and omissions and cyber programmes.

Meanwhile, Paul Bantick will take on global responsibility for cyber and tech, within CyEx, from July. Bantick currently leads the London market and international cyber and tech team.

Andrew Horton, Beazley CEO, thanked Donovan for his invaluable contribution to the business. “[Donovan] has played an instrumental role in Beazley’s growth in the US and also across the group as a member of the executive committee,” he said.
