Berkley Specialty Excess appoints new president

John Termini has been appointed president of Berkley Specialty Excess, based in Fort Myers, Florida, in the US.

Termini worked for Hamilton from November 2020 until May 2023, first as head of environmental and then as head of environmental and energy.

He was previously managing director environmental & energy at Markel Corporation from April 2011 to November 2020.

Prior to that he was vice president and director of environmental liability at Aspen Specialty from October 2008 to April 2011 and director at Aon Risk Services from 2000 to 2008.
