Bermuda registrations on the rise

Bermuda has issued 55 licenses until September this year, with nine of them being Class 1 and Class 2 captive entities.

Numbers are considerably up on those in 2012, which by September had reached 33 registrations. While special purpose insurers make up the bulk of new issuances, captive numbers are healthy and reflect the ongoing attractions of Bermuda as a captive domicile.

It seems likely that further entities will be formed in Bermuda in the months ending 2013.
