CICA grooms next generation of captive leaders

The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has launched the NEXTGen Young And New Professionals Task Force. Comprising a cross section of captive owners, service providers and regulators, the task force represents young people in the captive insurance industry, and begins meetings in the summer.

NEXTGen's priority is to find ways to enhance career development and networking opportunities for the next generation of captive professionals. It includes a mentorship program, partnerships and outreach with university risk management and insurance courses, to promote interest in captive insurance careers. It also runs an essay contest.

Dan Towle, president of CICA, said: “The NEXTGen Task Force brings the voices of young and new professionals to the planning table. We want them to have a say in developing the programs they need to prepare them to become the captive industry’s next leaders.”
