DARAG takes Pryde in new group chief risk officer role

Legacy lines acquirer DARAG has appointed Andrew Pryde to the new role of group chief risk officer, subject to regulatory approvals. He will report to group chief executive officer Tom Booth.

He joins from Beazley plc, where he held the chief risk officer role for more than ten years. He brings experience in implementing risk management, capital modelling and exposure management frameworks, as well as undertaking transactional own risk solvency assessments to support decision making. At Beazley, Pryde was also an executive director and board member of the group’s main insurance undertaking, Beazley Furlonge Limited.

Previously he held roles at BHI Digital LLC and Lodestone Security LLC, where he was chairman of the board. He began his career at PwC.
