Bermuda reports three captive registrations for August 2026

Bermuda registered four new insurance entities in August, including three new captives, according to the latest figures from the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA).

The BMA said that one Class 1 insurance company, Valuation Guarantee Ltd, had been registered, along with two Class 2 companies, Ide8 Limited and AFC Captive Insurance Company Ltd.

The fourth company to register was a broker, M Financial Global Services, Ltd.

The August figures take Bermuda to 46 new registrations in 2026 so far. This includes two Class 1 companies, three Class 2 companies, one Class 3 company, three Class 3A companies and one Class 3B company.

The BMA reported seven registrations in July 2026, including one Class 1 company, one Class 2 company, one Class 3A company, one Class E company, one agent and two collateralised insurers.

A total of sixty insurance-related registrations were reported by the BMA for 2025.
