Global Captive Management appoints new COO

Jennifer Reid is starting a new position as chief operating officer (COO) at Global Captive Management, based in the Cayman Islands.

Global Captive Management is a captive insurance manager. Founded in the Cayman Islands in 1982 by Peter MacKay, GCM has experience in managing an array of captives in a variety of industries and structures, including segregated portfolio captives, group captives, single parent captives and 953(d) and 831(b) elected captives.

Reid has worked for the company for almost 20 years, having started as vice president in May 2004. She was promoted to senior vice president in July 2018 and became COO with immediate effect in January.

She previously worked for KPMG from May 1998 to May 2004. She was first staff and senior accountant in Kamloops, British Colombia, Canada from May 1998 to September 2002 and then senior accountant - audit - Cayman Islands, from October 2002 to May 2004.
