Global Captive Management celebrates fourth decade of operations

Cayman’s Global Captive Management (GCM) is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Founded by Peter MacKay in 1982 and is now among the largest captive managers in the world, running a wide range of captives across industries, including segregated portfolio, group, single parent and 953(d) and 831(b) elected captives.

MacKay retired in June 2020, with senior vice presidents Ian Bridges, Jennifer Reid and, following her  promotion earlier this month, Alanna Trundle now running the business. Since September 2019, GCM has been owned by Iowa-headquartered broker Holmes Murphy. GCM is aligned with the broker’s Innovative Captive Strategies (ICS) subsidiary and manages numerous ICS captive programs.

“GCM would not be the company it is today without our dedicated team, as well as our supportive clients with whom we have built lasting relationships,” said Bridges. “We would like to thank those who have contributed to our success over the years and look forward to what the next 40 years will bring.”
