Honigman unveils new partner

Honigman has announced that Rob Humphries has joined the firm’s Insurance Practice Group as partner. With over 15 years of experience, Humphries, who is dual qualified as a Cayman Islands and US attorney, brings a wealth of corporate and transactional insurance experience to the firm, the firm said.

“We are delighted to officially welcome Rob to the firm as partner,” said Julie Robertson, leader of Honigman’s Insurance Practice Group. “His extensive experience in the Cayman Islands and in the US, where he manages complex international insurance matters and represents captive insurance companies, will add tremendous value to our group and further expand our service offerings.”

According to Honigman Humphries is recognised as a leading lawyer in the captive insurance industry and his practice will focus on a broad range of insurance, reinsurance and captive insurance work including mergers and acquisitions, structuring, formations, corporate governance and ongoing regulatory advice. Humphries also has a wealth of experience in general corporate and commercial work including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and general commercial transactions within the insurance, investment funds and broader financial services industry where he is able to draw on his considerable onshore and offshore experience.
