Hylant has acquired Cobalt Benefits, expanding its employee benefits services in the Elkhart, Mishawaka and South Bend communities of Indiana.
Cobalt Benefits is a boutique agency that has served the Elkhart community for almost 20 years. It specialises in self-funding and partial self-funding, along with traditional medical, dental, vision, life and disability brokerage services.
By joining forces with Hylant, it has expanded its offering to include property and casualty, M&A, captive solutions, cybersecurity solutions, and personal insurance.
Hylant said it plans to add more employees to the Indiana teams, with recruits in sales, client service, claims, captive services and mergers and acquisitions.
Mary Whitt, owner and president of Cobalt Benefits, said: “Providing one-of-a-kind services to the Elkhart community has been a crux of Cobalt Benefits’ foundation. Joining Hylant will allow us to continue to provide that personal service with a deeper pocket of resources.”
Clay Jennings, regional partnership leader for Hylant Indiana, added: “We are impressed with the caliber of service Cobalt has provided clients, and we are excited to strengthen the pool of talent who can apply their expertise to provide insurance and business solutions facing organisations in the Elkhart, Mishawaka and South Bend communities.”
