Jacob becomes Marsh Mclennan Asia CEO

David Jacob has been named chief executive of Marsh McLennan Asia.

According to a short statement on LinkedIn Jacob will lead a new collaborative effort across the four businesses of Marsh, Mercer, GuyCarpenter and OliverWyman with the aim of delivering innovative solutions and greater client impact.

He was appointed chief executive of Marsh Asia in September 2016.

Jacob is a veteran of Marsh, having started at the company’s multinational practice - risk management in New York in 1990.

He became business development leader for Marsh Philippines in 1996 and since then has been chief executive of Marsh Philippines, chief executive of Marsh Hong Kong, managing director and head of sales Asia-Pacific and head of specialities Asia.
