MAXIS GBN announces Americas promotions

MAXIS Global Benefits Network, the international employee benefits joint venture between MetLife and AXA, has announced a series of promotions to its Americas business development leadership team.

Larry Howley, Julie Nye and Lauren Kelly have all been promoted to regional managers from 1 April 2022. They join Erica Sebastianutti, regional manager for the South and Mid-Atlantic regions, and follow the promotion of Paul Lewis to global head of business development at MAXIS GBN last year.

According to MAXIS, the changes aim to enhance client service and deliver sustainable growth.

Howley has over a decade’s experience in global employee benefits, holding roles across financial management, global underwriting and business development. He will be regional manager for the Northeast, sharing this large region with Julie Nye. Nye will also look after the West and LATAM regions, and brings over 20 years’ experience in global insurance, most recently as the Americas lead for the MAXIS GBN Underwriting team.

Finally, Kelly will cover Mid-West and Canada and has seven years’ expertise working with multinational clients to implement global employee benefits programmes.

“We’re delighted to be announcing these promotions as we focus on further, long-term sustainable growth in the Americas region, our largest market in terms of client scope, sophistication and premium written,” said Lewis.

“Lauren, Larry, Julie and Erica each have extensive, broad experience in the sector as well as the calibre and expertise that will allow MAXIS GBN to build on its market share and momentum.”

Mattieu Rouot, CEO at MAXIS GBN, also welcomed the appointments: “Our Americas team is going from strength to strength under Paul’s leadership. They have done an exceptional job, working with some of the largest and most sophisticated multinational companies in the US, Latin America and Canada. With these developments in the Business Development team, we are very confident that we will see even more positive results, with a strong focus on the client experience and employee outcomes.”
