NCCIA issues appeal for panels for 2023 conference

The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA)’s conference planning committee has issued a call for proposals for the 2023 NCCIA Conference Educational Program.

According to the NCCIA the theme for the 2023 Conference is Elevate. It celebrates the new location of the conference, Asheville and what the NCCIA described as the increasing importance and prominence of North Carolina as a premier domicile.

Chaired for 2023 by Susan Euteneuer, the committee is in particular looking for panels that contain captive owners or their employees.

Topics that will be given special consideration include: drug and alcohol programs; parametrics; risk management, policy development, loss control; covid related topics; tax developments; cyber security issues; director & officers and other hard market challenges; recession related developments; evolution of ESG; best practices in claims handling; the rise of protected cell captives and the pros and cons of RRG’s.

Panels should consist of three individuals representing different companies.

Individuals or groups who would like to submit proposals for panel presentations should submit a proposal for consideration by the committee not later than October 25 via the NCCIA.
