New chairman appointed at Anora

Anora and its board of directors has announced the appointment of Jeffery Khoo as chairman of Malaysian risk management company Anora.

The company said that Khoo is globally recognised for his work on parametric insurance and is a prominent influencer in the agriculture insurance sector.

His most recent role was vice chairman, APAC at Arbol and he has previously helmed senior roles such as chief marketing officer, APAC at ED Broking, head, food and agriculture sales, Asia  at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions), general manager at Guangzhao IFB), agribusiness director at Caudex Asia and deputy chief executive at Green Agritech International.

In 2021, Khoo was recognised with the Imergey Luminaries Award APAC, which honours professionals in a variety of industries and regions who are building communities and making contacts.

Founded in 2010, Anora bridges the gap between risks and insurance by providing tailor-made solutions to transfer risks to the insurance market. According to the company applying AI in its underwriting processes has greatly helped the speed, accuracy and efficiency of its offerings in the renewable energy sector.
