New NCCIA chair elected

Nate Reznicek of International-Re has been elected to lead the NC Captive Insurance Association as chair for 2023-24.

Reznicek succeeds Diana Hardy, audit partner at RH CPAs, as NCCIA moves toward its 10th Anniversary in November. He will take office at the annual commissioner’s luncheon at the association’s conference in Asheville on May 9th.

Reznicek serves as president, Captives.Insure & Head, US Distribution, International-Re, a specialist insurance and reinsurance underwriter.

He maintains an active leadership position in the captive industry and sits on the Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) programming committee, the Self Insurance Institute of America’s (SIIA) captive advocacy and captive committees, as well as the International Centre for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) serving on the curriculum committee and faculty member.

“Diana Hardy has set a high bar for me to follow,” said Reznicek. “I look forward to collaborating with her through this transition period and thank her for her service.

“I believe that the NCCIA is one of the most active and effective domicile-affiliated captive insurance associations in the US and the driving force behind the success of the domicile. As the fourth largest domicile in the United States, NCCIA and I look forward to building upon our history of collaboration with association members, state legislature, and regulatory leadership.”
