Pelham promoted to director of insurance at PG&E

Brian Pelham has been appointed director, insurance at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) in Oakland California.

Pelham’s duties include leading PG&E's insurance procurement strategy providing more than $6 billion in financial protection, and guiding a team of domestic and international brokers, managing four direct reports consisting of three insurance and one loss control specialists and operational management of PG&E's insurance captive.

He will also partner with law and accounting on the collection of insurance recoveries, prepare management, financial and regulatory reports on company insurance programs for internal and external stakeholders and act as insurance and risk management consultant to all lines of business within the utility.

Pelham started as an insurance consultant at the company in May 2018. Prior to that he worked for the Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Programs for five years.
