Pinnacle hires three new actuaries

Pinnacle Actuarial Resources has hired Gaétan Veilleux as a senior consulting actuary, and Travis Murnan and Kunshan Yin as consulting actuaries, to enhance its modeling, data science and risk analytics capabilities.

Veilleux has been in the property/casualty industry for over two decades and has experience in predictive modeling for personal and commercial lines of insurance, including pricing, ratemaking, claims analytics and telematics. He has been engaged in analytic work since 2001.

Murnan joined Pinnacle from a commercial insurance broker where he led a team of analysts. He has been in the property and casualty industry since 2012 in a variety of actuarial, analytic and managerial roles, specialising in the design, development, implementation and management of analytical models for a variety of applications.

Yin, a data scientist with a background in computational mathematics, economics and statistics, has experience in predictive modeling and risk management and has been in the insurance and financial services industries since 2007.

Joe Herbers, managing principal at Pinnacle, pointed to the many years of combined industry experience the three hires bring to the group, describing them as “skilled and innovative actuaries.”

Pinnacle is an independent, full-service actuarial firm focused on the property and casualty insurance industry.
