SIIA cancels Mentor Connection event

The Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA) has cancelled its Mentor Connection event, which was scheduled for April 6-7 in Philadelphia.

The move responds to the developing concerns around the COVID-19 virus. SIIA had already cancelled its Self-Insured Health Plan Executive Forum, scheduled for March 16-18 in South Carolina.

The Mentor Connection event looks to connect younger SIIA members that are under the age of 40 with more successful and experienced self-insurance and captive insurance industry executives. It hopes this will ensure some continuity of experience as senior members of the industry retire.

SIIA said it is working to reschedule the Mentor Connection event for later in 2020 and promised further information will be provided when it is available.
