SOBC DARAG acquires IPS
SOBC DARAG has acquired Innovative Physicians Solutions RRG in full, effective July 1 2019.
Innovative Physician Solutions RRG was a risk retention group but was converted into a captive as part of the sale and renamed Innovative Physicians Solutions (IPS).
As part of the transaction, for which SOBC DARAG has already received regulatory approval in Vermont, Mark Tabler, the current COO of IPS, will transfer to SOBC DARAG.
“The RRG has served its member insureds in a serviceable, respectful and responsible manner over the past 15 years,” said Tabler. “I have full faith and confidence in SOBC DARAG to run out the company in a manner that will be fitting and serviceable to all the members.”
SOBC DARAG acquired Peachtree Casualty Insurance Company in November 2018, while SOBC Sandell acquired American Safety in December 2017.
