Southern Water announces new group treasurer

James Gillard has been appointed group treasurer at Southern Water.

Gillard was previously treasurer at Land Securities from June 2014 to January 2023, where he was responsible for funding, liquidity, financial risk management and debt investor/rating agency relations.

He also delivered multiple complex bank and bond financings on very competitive or innovative terms, new short-term ratings to support its commercial paper programme and renegotiated several complex legacy situations, supporting the day-to-day operations of a commercially active business.

Gillard started at Land Securities in 2006 as a treasury dealer.

Prior to that he was a treasury analyst at NHP from October 2002 to March 2006.
