SRS hires finance and compliance exec in Luxembourg
Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has hired a managing director for European finance and compliance in Luxembourg to meet the growing demand across Europe.
Maxime Schons joins SRS from Risk and Reinsurance Solutions (2RS), where he spent the last five years serving as chief operating officer. He joined the business in 2013 and has also led teams in all aspects of captive management, risk management, compliance, and business development.
He also ran mandates as licensed manager and director for a number of reinsurance captives in Luxembourg and France. He has also served as a financial controller at PayPal Europe and a treasury manager at Eurowatt HQ.
Schons joins SRS on September 1, 2021 and will serve on the executive committee of SRS Europe operations. He will also join the SRS Europe board of directors.
Brady Young, president and chief executive officer at SRS, pointed to the strong growth SRS is seeing in Europe, both in new formations and takeovers, and in its own expanded headcount as it looks to meet this growing demand.
Schons “adds strong compliance and operational expertise in Luxembourg and across our European operations and will be a key member of our European team,” Young added.
