Toyota broking subsidiary joins Brokerslink as affiliate

Global broking business Brokerslink has announced that Toyota Tsusho Insurance Management Corporation (TIM) has joined the broking network as an affiliate.

Brokerslink said that the addition of TIM is seen as ‘a major milestone’ for the global broking business, adding a household name and with it a range of insurance and broking options for its existing network partners and affiliates.

TIM provides a range of insurance services, including brokerage for corporates, insurance, reinsurance, captive management, global insurance program management and risk consultancy. The company was founded on providing broking services for the Toyota Group companies and has now broadened this to provide services to global corporates.

José Manuel Fonseca, Brokerslink’s chairman commented: “This is major milestone for the Brokerslink Network. As part of the Toyota Group, TIM has a reputation for quality, reliability and technical excellence. For them to choose Brokerslink as a global partner is testament to our own reputation and ability to provide access to opportunities and local expertise in markets around the world.”

“Brokerslink and its network of partners and affiliates increases our global options for risk transfer, both for ourselves and our corporate clients,” said Masanori Shibata, president of TIM. “Joining a network with a presence in over 130 countries around the world brings with it obvious benefits, we are looking forward to the mutual opportunities this will bring.”
