VCIA to hold captive road show

The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) will hold a captive road show in New York on February 17.  The road show, VCIA Strategic Advantages of Captives, will be held at the city’s Executive Conference Center.   It will focus on the basics of captive insurance companies; the reasons for formation, the feasibility process and key issues in putting a successful captive programme together.   Attendees will gain an understanding of the cost structures associated with captives and the capital requirements, according to the VCIA. A brief overview of the Vermont domicile will also be discussed. “The decision to form a captive insurance company is a very individualised process that reflects the unique needs and interests of that corporation, association or institution,” said the VCIA. “In this seminar, representatives from two different types of captives will share their thought process and experiences.  Presenters will also describe the captive climate and regulatory requirements in Vermont, the number one US domicile.” The event is available to both VCIA members and non-members. Registration is open now.
