Vermont DFR unveils latest webinar details

The Vermont Department of Financial Regulation (DFR) is to hold its March Hot Topic Webinar on Wednesday, March 29th, 2-3pm EST.

Christine Brown, director of captive Insurance at the DFR, along with Jim DeVoe Talluto, assistant director and Heidi Rabtoy, chief examiner, will discuss the latest regulatory matters for captives in Vermont.

In a statement the DFR said: “The Captive Division at DFR has been a leader in the regulation of innovative and successful captive insurance companies since 1981, but what does effective regulation look like in 2023? Join three Vermont regulators, each of whom has recently assumed a new leadership role in the Captive Division, for an engaging and informative dialogue that will address some of the captive industry’s most pressing questions.”

According to the DFR following the webinar, participants will be able to:
· Understand the regulatory cycle in Vermont for all kinds of captives
· Utilize effective communication with the Captive Division
· Document the elements of a successful examination
· Identify insurance trends and utilizing captives for emerging risks
