Wilmington Trust hires from Wells Fargo

Wilmington Trust has appointed Michael Ramsay as a client development officer for its insurance collateral solutions team, part of the company's global capital markets division.

In this role, Ramsey will be responsible for further developing the corporate large deductible trust business domestically, as well as the corporate captive trust business globally.

Ramsey has over 25 years of experience in sales and business development, including 11 years overseeing sales of insurance trust product.

He joins from Well Fargo's collateral trust division, where he was responsible for sales of insurance trusts products in the US, Europe, Bermuda, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Rim.

“Having worked with Mike for years at a prior trustee, I am supremely confident in both his knowledge of the industry and ability to create value for his clients,” said Robert Quinn, head of client development for the insurance collateral solutions team at Wilmington Trust.

“He is a welcome addition to our team,” said Todd Winchel, product leader for Wilmington Trust’s insurance collateral solutions team. “Mike is one of the rare insurance trust professionals that understand both the trust concept, as well as the nature of the business driving the need for collateral. He understands all of the moving parts.”

In November 2014, Wilmington Trust hired two ILS executives Todd Winchel and Robert Quinn - both formerly of Wells Fargo - to join its insurance collateral solutions business. The following month, Robert Bilodeau - also formerly of Wells Fargo, joined as senior relationship manager.
