BMS Re unveils Bermuda office as international expansion continues

BMS Re has unveiled a new office in Bermuda, headed up by Adam Mullan, who serves as executive director.

BMS Re has already established a major hub in the US, led by Pete Chandler, and also has operations in London and Europe headed by Hannah Watkins and Andrew Wheeler. It recently expanded into the Latin American market, with operations there led by Aidan Pope.

Mullan joins from Attestor Capital where he was a re/insurance consultant, working on non-executive consulting assignments for re/insurance acquisitions, business planning and strategy. He will take up his post once he has secured immigration and regulatory approval. He has held a number of senior roles, including as chief executive officer (CEO) of Alterra Global Reinsurance and Alterra at Lloyd’s where he led a team of approximately 180 staff in the management and operations of Alterra’s Lloyd’s and global reinsurance business. At Alterra he led the acquisition team in targeting and acquiring its Lloyd's Managing Agency and establishing its Latin American operation across three countries. He also led the team in setting up Alterra’s Zurich business in 2011.
