Marsh announces new head of global placement coverage

Marsh has announced the appointment of Siân French as global head of coverage for global placement, effective January 1, 2023.

According to Marsh French will work closely with its insurance partners to negotiate and provide seamless, consistent, and positive coverage and claims outcomes for Marsh’s clients.

The company added that French’s work with Marsh’s teams around the world will ensure that they will continue to lead on market, industry, legal, and regulatory developments and trends.

French has been at Marsh for 13 years, after joining the company in January 2010 as FINPRO claims advocate. She was senior vice president at FINPRO from January 2013 to June 2016, became senior vice president of products and placement for the UK and Ireland from June 2016 to December 2017 and was clients and projects market leader, UK and Ireland from January 2018 until her new appointment.

Before joining Marsh she was senior solicitor, insurance & reinsurance litigation, at Reed Smith.
